The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are red hot! After a stutter in their first match, they've been on a rampage, leaving opponents in smoldering ruins. Their secret weapon? Mayank Yadav, a 21-year-old pace bowling beast who hurls thunderbolts (seriously, over 150 kph!) that leave batsmen flat-footed and confused. He's already bagged two Player of the Match awards, and a stellar performance against the Titans could see him fast-tracked to the T20 World Cup squad. The Gujarat Titans (GT), on the other hand, are a bit of a mystery. They're like a coin toss – win one, lose one. Can they find their mojo and stop LSG's juggernaut, or will they be steamrolled?

LSG has been keeping everyone guessing with their ever-changing Impact Player strategy. Will skipper KL Rahul stay put this time, or will they throw another curveball? The Titans, meanwhile, are sweating over David Miller's fitness. Kane Williamson filled the gap in their last match, but can he consistently deliver the goods?Devdutt Padikkal, LSG's crucial number 3 batsman, has been a major disappointment so far. Three ducks in a row have put him on the firing line. He desperately needs to find his form to ensure a smooth transition between the explosive openers and the middle-order powerhouses.Vijay Shankar is another player under the microscope for the Titans. With Hardik Pandya out and Miller's status up in the air, Shankar's contributions in the middle order are vital. Can he step up to the plate?

Pitch Report Darren Ganga and Matthew Hayden:

Ganga "The pitch at Ekana Stadium looks promising for batting. With consistent dimensions around the square, batters have the opportunity to play freely. However, the slightly shorter boundary towards fine leg could indeed become a strategic focal point for the teams. Given LSG's history with GT, adapting their game plan to these conditions will be crucial. Overall, expect a competitive clash with plenty of runs and strategic bowling to counteract the boundary dimensions."

"Choosing to bat first on this promising wicket. Our strategy to put up a solid score and defend has been effective, so we're sticking with it.Hearing about our 0-4 record against GT for the first time, but past results aren't our focus. Acknowledging GT's edge in previous seasons, it's about looking forward now.Mayank Yadav is navigating his debut season with remarkable professionalism despite injuries. It's crucial we support him, with experienced hands like Morne Morkel guiding our pace attack. No changes to our team lineup."

In an exhilarating 21st match, "" secured their first victory over "" by a margin of 33 runs, thanks to a gritty fifty from Marcus Stoinis and a fearsome bowling performance from Yash Thakur and Krunal Pandya. Batting first upon winning the toss, LSG posted a competitive total of 163/5, highlighted by Stoinis's robust fifty and valuable contributions from KL Rahul (33) and Nicholas Pooran (32*). In response, GT started strong with 54 runs in the powerplay, but the momentum shifted when Thakur removed Gill for 19. LSG's spinners, Ravi Bishnoi and Krunal Pandya, then took control, claiming four wickets between them. Thakur's return to the attack was stellar, as he swept through the tail, earning a five-wicket haul and guiding LSG to a convincing win..

Shubman Gill "" Skipper

"I think it was a good wicket to bat on, to be honest. It was just a really poor batting performance from us. We got a decent start but we lost it in the middle overs and we were never able to get back to momentum or we were never able to recover from that. To restrict them to 160 on a wicket like this was impressive. We were expecting them to score around 175-180, but to limit them to 160 was a tremendous effort by the bowlers. Our batters let us down.Talking about Miller, he's the kind of player who can change the game for you anytime. We had a couple of hinges in this game, but irrespective of that, this total was very gettable for us.I thought it was the last over of the power play. We got off to a decent start. I just wanted to capitalize on the last over of the power play. With everyone up on the offside, I wanted to give myself a bit of room. As for the ball I got out to, I was actually trying to play it a bit square, but I missed it.He's (Umesh Yadav) someone who's very experienced, and even Darshan, the way our bowlers bowled in this game, as I've already mentioned, was tremendous to watch. They got off to a decent start, and to restrict them to around 160-165 runs was what we were hoping for."

KL Rahul "" Skipper

"We'll take the win, I am not going to make too much out of it. I think for the young bowling group that we have, it helps when we bat first and they get a bit of an idea of how the wicket's playing and they've also been adapting really well. [On 100% record of defending 160+ total] Yeah, it's a good record to have, obviously. But I also think it's because of where we've played and the conditions. Last time we played here in Lucknow, the wickets were very low-scoring, and it's a low-scoring ground. So, we defended quite well there. Having that home advantage obviously helps a little bit. And yes, I mean, the bowlers have come through the ranks in the last couple of years. You've seen the same guys playing last season as well, and they've adjusted to their roles. They're reading the wickets really well. That's something that I try to discuss with them a lot more off the field and even during practice.

Player of The Match: Yash Thakur

I am happy for the first 5-wicket haul and first player of the match award. I saw Gill trying to make some room and hit in the leg side as there were 2 fielders behind square. Rahul bhai told me to bowl at my plan. Unfortunate to lose Mayank bhai but the skipper told me that its your day and you will win us the game.Last 2 seasons we never won against them so very happy to win against them today. Shubman's wicket was the most special one."
